WHAT IS A FACELIFT?
A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is the surgical removal of excess facial skin and the redraping of skin on the face and neck. Depending on the patient, the retightening of facial tissue may be needed as well. Varying results are largely due to the level of aging seen in each case.
FACELIFT TREATMENT
During a consultation with our talented board certified plastic surgeon, the surgical procedure and pre and post operative care will be discussed in detail. By evaluating the patient and studying detailed medical photos taken of the patient’s face, a customized treatment will be determined.
Facial features considered during the evaluation/consultation process:
- Asymmetry
- Droopiness of skin
- Pronounced jaw line or “jowls”
- Level of tautness
- Wrinkles
- Appearance of brow line and eyes
