Getting to Know TAYLOR
We asked Taylor a few fun questions to help you get to know her better:
Coffee order or go-to snack during a busy clinic day?
(Extra) dirty chai with oatmilk, 1/2 sweet.
What do you wish more patients understood about injectables?
Injectables are not intended to “change” your face or give you an “unnatural” look but instead, to restore your features to their former youthful glory. The best injectables are undetectable!
How do you approach creating a personalized treatment plan for a new patient?
First, I’m interested in knowing what brings a patient in: Rejuvenation? Preventative maintenance? Feature improvement or enhancement? Next, we’ll take a look in the mirror together and talk through how their wants align with overall facial balance. From there, we will discuss the various treatment options in respect to budget and timeline. I will always give my honest and professional opinion (which, for some patients, means saying ‘no’). In the end, I want everyone to leave my chair looking and feeling like their beautiful, natural selves.
What’s your favorite area to treat with Botox or filler — and why?
The chin. Botox and filler can be transformative for smoothing and projecting the chin as a way to elongate the jawline and define the profile. Do not underestimate the power of the chin in defining overall facial balance and structural harmony!
How do you help patients feel comfortable if they are nervous about injections?
I think it’s helpful for patients to know that I’ve sat in the same chair and have undergone these same procedures. We take it at YOUR pace—everyone’s tolerance and comfort level is different. Guided by a mutual trust and a deep respect for anatomy, I tailor every treatment to the individual while creating a space where my patients feel safe, comfortable and confident.
What trends in aesthetics are you loving right now? Which ones are you avoiding?
It is incredibly refreshing to see the industry headed more towards facial balancing and preventative treatments. As for what I avoid? It’s time to ditch the ‘10-step skincare routines’ that seem to be all over social media right now; I encourage simple regimens with QUALITY products.
What’s your ideal self-care Sunday?
Sleeping in. Squeezing in a workout. Playing 9 holes with my husband (and son in tow of course). Cooking a yummy meal. Ending the night with a good movie while snuggling with my boys on the couch.
