About Dr. Pereira
Dr. Martin Pereira, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist with nearly two decades of experience delivering thoughtful, patient-centered skin care. He was certified in dermatology by the American Board of Physician Specialties in 2006 and completed his postgraduate medical training through the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kerala in India and furthered his clinical training at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Pereira has extensive experience in all areas of general dermatology, including medical, surgical, and preventive skin care. He is known for his approachable demeanor, thorough evaluations, and ability to clearly explain diagnoses and treatment options — qualities that have made him a long-standing and highly respected physician within our practice.
As a member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS), Dr. Pereira has specialized expertise in identifying and managing allergic and irritant skin conditions. This advanced training allows him to perform comprehensive patch testing, offering patients targeted, evidence-based care for complex and chronic rashes, eczema, and contact allergies.
Dr. Pereira sees patients at all of our Iowa locations. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active through pickleball.
