PRACTICE MANAGER

FULL TIME  —  PERU, ILLINOIS

Core Dermatology is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Practice Manager to join our Peru, Illinois team. As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for supervising administrative staff, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth communication between the administrative and clinical staff within the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Trains and implements office policies and procedures.
  • Oversees office financial operations, including revenue, budgeting and bill payments.
  • Supervises, trains, and evaluates support staff.
  • Sets the staffing schedule and approves paid time off.
  • Hires and onboards new support staff.
  • Ensures that customer service standards are met.
  • Collaborates with nurses, doctors, and leadership to identify potential office dysfunctions.
  • Works with leadership to set goals, objectives, and budgets.
  • Orders all medical and office supplies.
  • Uses designated software for electronic medical records (EMR), billing, scheduling, and payroll software.
  • Maintains office medical and staff records.
  • Arrange cleaning staff and emergency maintenance services as necessary.
  • Provides informative material for patients and clients.
  • Ensures compliance with current healthcare regulations, guidelines and high ethical standards are followed.

Education:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field preferred. Experience/Skills:
  • Excels at customer service and has strong interpersonal skills
  • Works well independently and has strong operational skills
  • Learns quickly an has strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Develops strong relationships with coworkers and has strong leadership skills
  • Communicates effectively and has strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
  • Knowledge of accounting, data, and administrative processes and principles
  • Ability to handle medical records discreetly
  • Knowledge of medical issues and terminology (preferred)

Travel Requirements:

This position will require up to 10% of travel at the request of Area Manager or other leadership
