We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Zak Sharif-Sidi to Core Dermatology! Dr. Sharif-Sidi is a board-certified dermatologist who will be seeing patients at our Davenport and Moline offices.
Professional Background
Originally from Galesburg, Illinois, Dr. Sharif-Sidi earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences with General Honors from The University of Chicago and his Doctor of Medicine with Honors in Research from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He went on to complete his dermatology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
His clinical interests include exploring the relationship between the skin, the immune system, and systemic diseases, as well as advancing medical education to improve how we teach and apply knowledge in patient care. He has published research in respected medical journals on rare skin conditions, diversity in dermatology, telemedicine, and the use of technology to support patient health.
Outside of his professional accomplishments, Dr. Sharif-Sidi values time spent connecting with patients, colleagues, and his community.
