About Dr. Sharif-Sidi
Dr. Zak Sharif-Sidi is a board-certified dermatologist at Core Dermatology, seeing patients at our Davenport and Moline offices. Originally from Galesburg, Illinois, Dr. Sharif-Sidi earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences with General Honors from The University of Chicago and his Doctor of Medicine with Honors in Research from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
His clinical interests include medical education, with a focus on how we effectively acquire, teach, and apply information, as well as the relationship between the skin, the immune system, and systemic diseases. Dr. Sharif-Sidi has published research in respected medical journals on rare skin conditions, diversity in dermatology, the use of telemedicine, and technology’s role in improving patient care.
Outside of work, he enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors.
